Ok, shooting in the dazzling noon-day sun is almost as bad as trying to shoot at midnight.  It’s not impossible, but you’ve got to know your gear and get creative with posing.  You and your subjects may all end up roasting, but the images can be excellent!  This fun couple bought one of my portrait sessions at a charity auction.  (I love to donate sessions to good causes, just ask me for details!)  Doing a “just because” session is always fun.  Happy childhood memories drew us to this particularly beautiful site: Lucia Falls.  After getting the requisite Falls scenes we retreated to the relative cover of the surrounding park.  We did some fun couple-shots around the park and finished up with some simple and pleasing new head-shots for their respective employment.  All in all a fun and rather relaxing session.

Life has thrown some crazy things at me lately, but I am so glad to be back shooting and blogging and generally doing what I love.  And boy, do I love this shoot from a couple weeks ago!  Tromping around historic Oregon City, all the signs of Fall, laughing non-stop, COSTUMES!  Pure awesomeness.  I am really looking forward to this wedding in a couple weeks…

Met up with one of my favorite couples for a sunny shoot in Downtown Vancouver to find the best smiles for their holiday cards.  Aren’t they just adorable?!
