New Beauty

This beautiful creature is the product of one of my favorite couples (who I now have the privilege of counting as friends.)  Their engagement session was really creative and fun and their Lakeside wedding was simple and perfect.  At just six days old, this darling baby was a perfect subject and even cracked a little smile…  I had such a sweet time getting to know this eagerly awaited person and and spending time with my friends.  Welcome Baby M!

Sweet Baby Blue Eyes

Boy, was this little guy a charmer!  6 months old and easy-going.  This session is yet another reason I love Facebook for connecting.  This guy’s mother was a college friend of Ben’s and when he saw she was looking for a photographer he connected us through Facebook.  I now have the pleasure of having her as a friend as well!  A little about the shoot: it was an in-home session, my favorite.  Not only are babies more comfortable at home, but I have the opportunity to help plan outfits and props.  Win/win.  I love the challenge of finding the best light and the proper angles in the backgrounds available.  This was a great session all the way around!

A Growing Family

My relationship with this family started with their urban-cool engagement session, moved to their gorgeous autumn wedding, welcomed their first son, and documented a large and loving family.  Last week was the latest fun installment: family portraits at the beautiful Laurelhurst Park in honor of their newest son!  I’m so lucky to get to work with families as they grow and make their way through life!

Getting Bigger

I have been photographing this little guy (and his big brother) since they were both born.  (And mom and dad since their engagement…)  Here he is now a big 9-month-old, suffering mightily from a bad cold, but still being a good sport.  This is also the first official session in my new home out in Washougal.  The weather didn’t cooperate for an outdoor shoot, but my daylight room worked beautifully!
